Day #152 Saturday, October 30, 2010

What a perfect evening for some trick or treating!! Taygan picked out this very cute bee costume & Makaylie picked out this equally cute skeleton girl costume. They both had a great time getting candy in one of the housing editions in Chickasha. Luckily, they were already tired, so it didn't take them long to get their candy & head home.

We saw some awesome costumes while we were out tonight. I love seeing all the kiddos out & what costumes they picked out!

Day #151 Friday, October 29, 2010

.

Taygan singing her heart out in the school program today. I unfortunately had to work & missed it, but Chey being the incredible daddy he is took pictures for me! I know all the kids did a great job!

Our very good friends, Dorothy & Lonnie, had their annual Halloween party tonight. Of course we always have a good time when we get together & this night was no different. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I'm always so excited to get my costume & get dressed up. This year I was the super hero, Robin! Most everyone else dressed up as well & everybody looked awesome!! Love all our friends, had a great time with you all!!

Day #150 Thursday, October 28, 2010

Taygan's last softball game of this fall season was tonight. She has had such a great time playing with this team. She has learned alot & has improved so much. We plan on staying with this team into the spring, so there will be many more pics to come. They won both their games, what a great way to end the season!

Great job Yukon Riot!!

Day #149 Wednesday, October 27,2010

Tonight the Amber First Baptist church had their annual fall festival. The girls of course wanted to go. They had a great time as did everyone else that was there. This is the loot they ended up with. They had so much stuff they ran out of hands to hold it with!

Day #148 Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Just a little preview of whats to come this weekend...

Day #147 Monday, October 25, 2010

After Taygan's practice tonight we went to look for me a costume for Halloween this weekend. Of course she found her way to the goofy little Halloween toy aisle. She begged to get something, so we decided on these vampire teeth & had too much fun playing with them on the way home! Don't we look scaaaary!!

Day #146 Sunday, October 24, 2010

Makaylie & her goofy self with her new desk. She had put a bug in my dad's ear about wanting a desk for her room to do her homework. He found these desks at the high school that they were going to do away with. He got one for both girls. Then mom found a cute little lamp & chairs to go with them. When they got them today & we brought them home you would've thought it was Christmas. They were so excited to put them in their rooms & start using them.

Thanks Granmom & Grandad, you guys are the best!

Day #145 Saturday, October 23, 2010

Today my 2 best friends from high school and I ran in a 5k race to help benefit Gunter High School Choir Program. Sara teaches at Gunter & Alissa taught there a few years ago. It was perfect weather & so much fun to get to do this with two of my favorite people in the world. We had a great time & I just wish I lived a little closer so we could do more of them together. Afterwards, we rewarded ourselves with some yummy lunch, some shopping, & some Cold Stone Creamery!! Sorry Alissa, you missed out on that!

Loved this day & getting to spend time with my amazing friends!!

Day #144 Friday, October 22, 2010

Well crap, my bad again!! I thought I had a pic for today, but no luck uggggh!

Day #143 Thursday, October 21, 2010

This is Makaylie's "mom I'm mad at you face" because she wanted to sleep outside in the back of Chey's truck & we told her no. So of course instead of just leaving her alone I had to mess with her & see if I could make her smile. Eventually she did, but it took awhile haha! It was actually a really good thing she didn't because it ended up raining part of the night!

Day #142 Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Its been several years since we have gotten the girls pictures done together, so I figured it needed to be done. A friend of ours was doing a fundraiser for Relay for Life & needed people to sign up to do these old timey looking pictures. I knew as the pictues were being done it was going to cost me an arm & a leg because the girls looked so cute! Well I was right, but it was definitely worth it. The pictures did turn out so cute, we love them!

Day #141 Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Tomorrow in Taygan's class they are doing a pumpkin tasting. Every child is to bring a pumpkin yummy for everyone to try. They asked us to be creative, not just pie or bread. So I rummaged through my cookbooks & found a recipe for pumpkin squares. Taygan loves being in the kitchen & helping, so this was a perfect project for her. I know from the picture it looks kind of weird, but it tastes really good. She even likes it & she's the picky one of my children. I hope all the kids at school enjoy it too!

Day #140 Monday, October 18, 2010

It is truly the little things in life that are the sweetest. Taygan made this for me for no real reason at all. Sometimes I wish I could keep them this sweet & little forever.

Day #139 Sunday, October 17, 2010

My apologies...no pic today. Literally all we did today was clean & organize the house. I didn't think this would make for interesting pictures lol!

Day #138 Saturday, October 16, 2010

Taygan's new do!! Over the last year or so, Taygan's hair has become more & more curly. The bad part was that its so thick & heavy you couldn't tell. Plus it seemed to be mostly in the back. She was always wanting me to "scrunch" her hair & we would try. It would look so cute for about an hour then fall apart. Since we were doing haircuts today I asked our hair lady Sheila to cut it to wear she could wear it the way she wanted to. The result is so incredibly cute & she LOVES it!!

Day #137 Friday, October 15, 2010

Our 5-6th grade basketball tourney has been going on all this week. Tonight our 5 grade girls & boys played. The boys game was such a great game. They were down by 13 (i think) until after halftime. They came back & within the last couple of minutes tied the game & then ended up winning by 2 points. They were super excited!!

The 5th grade girls game didn't go as well, but they all played hard!

Good job Am-Po Panthers!!

Day #136 Thursday, October 14, 2010

Our awesome lil ballplayer!! Its been so fun to see how much these girls have improved in the last couple months. Taygan has had a great time playing & getting to know these girls she would have never known if we hadn't joined this team. I'm hoping we can stay together & continue to watch them grow.
Tonights record 1-1
Good job Yukon Riot

Day #135 Wednesday, October 13, 2010

My very cool daughter, Makaylie aka Maverick

Day #134 Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Halloween decorating day 2...actually we did the pumpkins this weekend, but I thought these were very cool pictures of them in the dark. The girls didn't carve them by themselves, though. The master pumpkin carver did it. I will let you all decide who you think that is...

Day #133 Monday, October 11, 2010

We love decorating for any holiday, so my mom bought the girls some Halloween decorations to put on the front window. They were very proud of their ghosts & scary eyes!

Day #132 Sunday, October 10, 2010

My dad & the girls having a watermelon spitting contest :) I'm not sure who won, but if you ask Taygan she did, she wins everything!

Day #131 Saturday, October 9, 2010

Its been a very busy day today. My Uncle Bill & Aunt Jill from Arizona came to spend a week with my parents, so we came in this weekend to see them. We started out the day in the SOSU Homecoming Parade. Someone had asked my dad to drive the truck to haul this storm shelter they are raffling off. The girls really enjoyed being in the parade, me on the other hand, I'd rather watch it, oh well.

Later in the day, my dad's other brother Lee & his wife Kaye came over so we could all spend some time together since we hardly ever get together. We enjoyed yummy steak cooked by my dad & great fixins by my mom. We all had a great afternoon talking & laughing.

Day #130 Friday, October 8, 2010

On our way to my parent's house in Durant, Taygan lost one of her teeth. We were somewhere in between Ardmore & Madill. She was very grown up about it & Makaylie helped take care of her since I was busy driving. Unfortunately, we lost the tooth somewhere in the car, but of course the tooth fairy will make her appearance tooth or not!

Day #129 Thursday, October 7, 2010

Here's Taygan at shortstop getting the ball, unfortunately she didn't get the out, but to get the ball in the glove is accomplishment enough!!

Day #128 Wednesday, October 6, 2010

WOOHOO!! We won & yes that is a small trophy!! Ok I know I shouldn't be so excited, but I love to cook & when people like what I fix it makes me very happy. Sometimes its just the simple things in life :)

Day #127 Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Tomorrow at work we are having a chili cook off. I was nominated in our department to get ours together. Everyone chipped in & brought an ingredient & I put it together at home & let it cook all night. So far I think it tastes great, so we'll see who the winner will be!!

10/05/2010

Day #126 Monday, October 4, 2010

Look what I got to drive today!! Its Chey's new truck. He actually got it last Monday, but I didn't have a pic for today, so I figured what better pic than a pretty new truck!

Day #125 Sunday, October 3, 2010

Today was the final game of the Rangers regular season, so of course we had to go watch them! They have already won the game that will take them to the playoffs, but they still finish out the rest of the season. It was an absolute perfect day for a ballgame. The weather couldn't have been better & it was fan appreciation day. Unfortunately our section, row, or seat didn't get called for a prize, but we had a great day.

They had a claw & antlers parade before the game, so Chey & Taygan participated in it. It was very cool to see all the creative ideas other people had come up with to show their claws & antlers. In case you don't know what the whole claw & antlers thing is go to my blog from last Tuesday & it will tell ya all about it!

Day #124 Saturday, October 2, 2010

I did something today that I have never done before! I finished a 10 mile race!! Woohoo for me!! My good friend, Dorothy and I finished in 2 hours & 13 minutes. She was a few seconds in front of me but who's counting right?? lol Another friend, Donona also ran and her time was about 10 minutes after us, also a fantastic accomplishment! Yay for us!! It was extremely tough and I've definitely paid for it afterwards, but I'm so glad I did!! Thanks to my wonderful friends who did it with me, so proud of both of you!!
If you have time & want to see pics they took during the race check out www.yoursportingimage.com It was called 10 mile roadkill race. My bib # was 108. Also look under lost & found pics, then female unidenitifed to see the ones of me & Dorothy!

Softball wives!!

After the race we went to watch the OU/Texas game at Donona & Aaron Bryant's house. OU won so it was a good day!

Day #123 Friday, October 1, 2010

Our 4th-6th grade classes are having a music program at school today called Lighten Up. The kids were told to dress in crazy clothes, so this is what Makaylie picked out to wear. Its her Halloween costume from last year with matching red, blue & green bows in her hair. Too cute! Unfortunately I didn't get to see the program, but Chey did. I'm sure it was awesome & Makaylie had a great time participating in it!

Day #122 Thursday, September 30, 2010

Our little ballplayer

They went 1-1 again tonight, not too bad for a first year team!
Go Yukon Riot!!

Day #121 Wednesday, September 29, 2010

A rare moment...my girls playing together without fighting!
