Yep, I think its a perfect day for a winter hat! Finally got out of the house today & made it to work safe & sound! Thanks to my awesome hubby for clearing a path & letting me drive his truck!

Day #247 Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Much to my children's delight, we finally let them play outside in the snow today. It was still super cold, but we split our time up into two sessions. My favorite part was sliding head first down the snow drift beside the fence in the backyard! Yes, I'm still just a big kid. We tried to build a snowman, but our snow just wouldn't cooperate. Instead we had snowball fights, made snow angels, & pushed each other down into the huge snow piles.

Day #246 Tuesday, Februrary 1, 2011

Well so far old man winter hasn't bothered us too much, but that all changed starting last night. Guess the forecaster were right on, its quite a winter storm that has hit Oklahoma. The girls have been begging all day to go play in the snow, but with 40 mph winds & negative wind chills, we just didn't think it was a good idea. We've all had a nice lazy day eating, playing games, & watching t.v.

This is our Lola, and you might be wondering why she has yellow feathers on her head. Well, when my mom heard that we named her Lola she started singing this Barry Manilow song that goes, "Lola, she was a showgirl she wore yellow feather in her hair..." So thats our little song for her. We had her out playing with her today & were singing it & remembered we had this yellow feather thing and decided we needed to take a picture with it in her hair. We all had a good laugh about it!!!
