Day 148 Saturday February 25, 2012
This morning the girls and I went to check out our local FFA kids' livestock show. This is something I've never been to so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was actually very interesting & we really enjoyed watching these kids work so hard doing what they love. Makaylie's best friend is just entering the world of showing pigs so it was really fun to watch her & cheer her on. Also, our babysitter for the girls after school, shows pigs. Of course she has been doing it awhile & you could tell since she won grand champion for hers. We knew all the kids showing & I think it's so important to all of them to see people in the community coming out to support them.

On the road again...this time to Ada. Again the boys played a great game & this time it paid off. They are on to tomorrow afternoon to try to make it to Area.

Tonight we made the long drive to the big town of Atoka to cheer on our boys & girls in the regional basketball tournament. Both teams played very well. The girls came out on top & after a tough battle the boys fell to Haworth.
And to make our night even better, my mom & dad came to the game since they are just down the road. We love seeing them!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet Makaylie!! Oh my 11 already, how time flies!
Her request for the evening, dinner at Edurado's our favorite Mexican restaurant in Chickasha. One of the best waiters & probably my most favorite person I worked with there, Connor, made her this birthday hat. It was a simple little thing, but she loved it!
Then it was a chocolate chip cookie cake & mint chocolate chip ice cream, her very favorites! Thank you Momo for the ice cream!!
And last a very fun game of Pictionary that she got for her birthday!

Whoa what a day!! Busy busy we have been!
Taygan's last basketball game of the season. I'm not sure what their record was because they don't officially keep score, but they were so much fun to watch this year! Only good things to come!
Next event, our high school basketball district playoffs. Both girls & guys came out on top. One of the highlights of the night was the mascots during half time of the boys game. They were so cute & entertaining! We love our mascot, Denae Nichols, good job girl!!

We had such a great evening celebrating Valentine's day with our friends tonight at Melting Pot! I've always wanted to try this place so I was really glad they suggested it. It was a new, fun experience I hope we can do again, not soon though it's kind of expensive, but well worth it. I can't imagine a better night than with my sweet hubby & our awesome friends!

Poor Taygan! She's had a rough couple of days with a horrible toothache. At the dentist today they decided the tooth just needed to come out. She's such a trooper, she did great until it was over then burst into tears :( For good reason though because I know it hurt. Once we got home & the medicine kicked in she was fine. Thank goodness that's over! Momma don't like to see her baby hurting!
Look at the size of that thing, no wonder it hurt!!

It's Super Bowl Sunday! We aren't really into the game this year since our Cowboys aren't in it but we joined our neighbors for the game tonight. Of course the kiddos had a blast playing together, don't think they were too concerned about the game. Well except for Hunter who I didn't get in the picture he was probably watching the game.

This is how I started my day, just a little 5 mile run. It was so cold & windy, but my friend Lindsay & I finished with a time we were both happy with, 57 minutes!
AmPo cheer camp! They both had a great time. Thanks to the cheerleaders & their coaches for spending their Saturday morning with all the little wanna be cheerleaders!
And to end our Saturday...basketball time! I know I've said it before but so proud of my girls & how they have improved on the court. I love to see a smile on their face when they feel a sense of accomplishment!

What an awesome surprise Katy & I got Monday when her sister decided she didn't want to go to the Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean concert! Yay, tickets for us!! We had a great time, one of the best concerts I've been to!!
