Well unfortunately I forgot my camera at home so I couldn't take some pictures at homecoming tonight :( Both our boys & girls won their games and the boys game was definetly a nail biter to the end. Afterwards, we went to some friends house & had a great end to the night hanging out with them!

Today's theme was retro day. Makaylie decide to go with the 70's and Taygan with the 80's. I think both their outfits looked so cute with just what stuff we had in their closests & drawers. As you can probably tell by the look on Taygan's face her & I were having some issues that morning. She refused to take a picture without her daddy :)

Seems like its been forever since the girls friend, Emercyn, has been over to hang out. She came home with us after the boys basketball game last night, which her oldest brother Chase played in. The game was awesome & we won! Great job Panthers!

We love some OU women's basketball. Can't you tell??
Being coaches daughters the girls have been going to sporting events since before they even knew what they were and for the most part couldn't tell you anything that happened during the game. I'd say starting this school year though Makaylie has become more interested in actually watching & enjoying watching basketball. I've been impressed that she's picked up on the things she has, she even has a favorite player on the OU's team, #25 Whitney Hand. We don't expect her to ever play at that level, but if she enjoys it & looks up to players like that, who's to say its not possible one of these days.
Unfortunately, she does have part of my genes & that might be a problem in holding her back lol!

She's so going to kill me when she gets older & sees pictures like these. I thought she looked so cute in the bathtub. In the last few years both girls have started taking showers mostly, so to see her in the tub helps me hold on to her staying a little girl :)

Makaylie's first basketball game of the 2011 season! Her team played last week, but she was sick, so she didn't play. Me & Taygan had to stay at home because she didn't need to get out, but daddy said Mak did well. Her team won by one point, she was very excited! Good job girls!

Well this is exactly what we were trying to avoid, but Taygan's got the dreaded flu now. She woke up very early this morning with a fever & not feeling well. She took medicine & insisted she felt better, but by 11 or so, she was really sick. Poor baby! This flu is really kicking our rears this year!

Well today was a pretty lazy day for the females in the group. While the guys were doing their thing, we slept late, shopped a little around the hotel, & chilled in the room. We were thinking of going downtown again but after we walked outside & felt how bitterly cold it was we decided on the this little restaurant close to the hotel. It was a nice place with this very pretty catfish pond we got to sit by. The food was very good once again & we were all so stuffed & tired from going the last couple of days we crashed early.

While the guys went to their meetings today, me & Sammie decided to go explore downtown Nashville. We had a great time walking around checking out all the cool places like the Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, and all the many clubs & restaurants.
Tonight we went to the Grand Ole Opry. I wasn't sure what to expect & was a little disappointed that we didn't get to hear Chris Young & Rodney Atkins sing more, but it was a fun experience. Afterwards we went to Margaritaville for dinner, which was totally yummy! Well we couldn't stop there so we decided to go to BB Kings because our waiter gave us a VIP pass & then over to Coyote Ugly to finish the evening.

..Yay! We finally made it to Nashville. We are here a few days so Chey & our friend Kevin can attend the American Baseball Coaches Association Convention. The event was held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. This hotel is simply beautiful & amazing. I still can't believe how big it was. Here are a few of the many pictures we took.

After we got the guys checked in, we got a delicious burger from one of the restaurants at the hotel. The hotel also had this very cool club called Fuse that we went to after dinner. The live band played some awesome music that we had a blast dancing to!

As soon as we all could get away from work today me, Chey, Kevin, & Sammie headed for Nashville. We had to stop about midnight because we were all super tired! We stopped in Little Rock at this somewhat questionable, but cheap hotel.

Ok so technically this picture was taken on Wednesday, but I put this new color on my hair Tuesday night. I didn't take a picture of it then because I didn't have time to fix it & if you've seen my hair before its straightened you will understand why I didn't. The girls were so excited to get home today after spending the weekend with my parents. Our good friends, Sammie & Kevin, had left them a Christmas present. Its Thunder time!!
Our boys & girls basketball teams got the opportunity to play this afternoon at the Oklahoma Arena where the OKC Thunder play. Since i had to work the girls & Chey went & watched them. I met them after I got off work so we could watch the Thunder play. Even though they lost it was a very good game. I think the girls had a really good time at their first NBA game.
