Day #120 Tuesday, September 28, 2010
So excited!! Our Rangers claw shirts came today!! Woohoo they have made it to the playoffs!!!
Here is the story behind it:
Should a Texas player do something positive offensively he'll acknowledge his feat with a "claw," fingers slightly curled with his arm extended in a rising swoop. The "antlers" -- hold both hands open above the ears to imitate a deer -- come about after something speed-related.
"Because when a deer gets going that's what you look like when you run all the way from first to third and then beat out a throw at the plate," Borbon said.
The origin of the Claw can be traced to Rangers utility man Esteban German, who started the hand signal in Triple A Oklahoma City last season.
"One day we were deciding to be funny," he said. "Most of it was with the Latin guys.
"We started doing it in spring training if a guy would get a hit. It's very cool. It's like a long-distance high-five."

Day #118 Sunday, September 26, 2010
Well this weekend has been full of baby showers for us, but we have loved every minute. #2 baby shower was for my friend Diana. This one was definetly fun because baby was at this shower. She was born just a week and a half ago and we enjoyed passing her around. Diana & her family live in North Dakota so we don't get to see them very often so even though it was a short visit it was very nice to see them. We can't wait to see them next time they head this way. I'm sure baby Rya will have changed so much & grown a bunch!
Day #117 Saturday, September 25, 2010
Me & Makaylie attended my friend, Brooke Mays, baby shower today. She & her husband Jake are expecting their second little boy in November. We had a great time playing games, watching her open gifts, and of course eating some cake. Me & Makaylie even won one of the games, yay for us!!
Isn't big brother Jackson a cutie??
No, Brooke is not inspecting a "real" dirty diaper!! It was one of the games we played. The hostess smashed up different candy bars & put them in diapers & all the guests had to guess by look, smell, and taste (if you were brave enough) what candy bar it was. Gotta love baby shower games :)
Day #116 Friday, September 24,2010
Sorry no pic today. Its been a long, busy, tiring week and no one wanted to take or be a part of a picture today :(

Day #114 September 22, 2010
I just finished this amazing book. If you are not a fan of Josh Hamilton's you will be after you read this. Not only is he an outstanding baseball player he is just as good or better person. Even though I've known it most of my life, it still amazes me that God's grace & love will conquer anything if we will just let it. This story is a perfect example of that.
And its got some good baseball stuff in it too, which is always a plus!!

Day #112 Monday, September 20, 2010
Me & my girls in the drive thru at Burger King. This is a pretty common occurence for us. Between ballgames & practices, fast food is our best friend. As nice as it is not to have to cook every night, it can get old very quickly. For now, though, thats about all we can do and for this reason I have to work out even harder at the gym tomorrow!!

Day #110 Saturday, September 18, 2010
Today has been quite a busy day, but a very good one.
I started off the day with a 5k race at Lake Hefner in OKC. My friend, Dorothy & I, ran bright & early at 7:00 am. We both did well, even though we both thought we had beat our times that we had done our previous races, oh well. Sorry no pics :(
The next event was a birthday party for one of Taygan's friends, Kyle Williams. They had it at the bowling alley in Chickasha. Everyone had a great time. Besides his cousin, Tay, was the only girl there lol!
And last but not least, we went to our friends, Diana & Chris Graham's house for a little get together. The house was defintely packed with kids & adults, but we all had a great time & lots of laughs.

Day #108 Thursday, September 16, 2010
Taygan's softball team had their first 2 games tonight in Mustang. They were supposed to play at 6:15 & 8:20, but for some reason the games were running about 30 minutes behind. This put our 2nd game starting at almost 9:00, which means we didn't get home til after 10:30. Thank goodness we don't have school tomorrow!!
This is her very tired face laying in bed showing with 1 finger on each hand held up because they won one game & lost the other. I'm so scatter brained that I forgot to take my camera to the game, so we did post game pic. What can I say??? :)
Good job Yukon Riot!

Day #107 Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Who doesn't love a new uni?? Aren't those socks awesome too??
Taygan has her first machine pitch softball game tomorrow night, so we got her new uniform tonight at practice. We are hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow like it did last Thursday. She is so excited to play. I can't wait to see how the team comes together for their first game. The league they are playing in this fall is more of an instructional league, which will be good for all of them because the majority are 1st year players.
Wish us luck! GO Yukon Riot!!
Day #106 Tuesday, September 14,2010
Yep I am still a kid at heart & here is just one of the many reasons. I love to sit & color with the girls. We are hardly ever home long enough to do it, but tonight we were & Taygan decided we needed to. Its a fun & simple way to just be with them. We can talk & laugh & its moments like these that I treasure most & I hope they do too.

Day #104 Sunday, September 12, 2010
We had such a nice family afternoon today. After the girls did one of their favorite things to do at my parents house, four wheeling, we paid a visit to the newest members of their herd of cows. So far they have 5 new calves & one of two momma cows that will deliver any day. We decided that this old barn would be a perfect backdrop for some pics. If you know me & my momma you know that we always have our cameras ready, so thats just what we did.
Love our family & how much fun we have together!! Blessed we are!
Day # 103 Saturday, September 11, 2010
Every second Saturday of September the Amish community that is about 30 miles north of Durant has their big sale. We love to go & have been going since I was pregnant with Makaylie. The Amish people sale their quilts, food, furniture, etc. There also a ton of vendors who set up booths. It varies from arts & crafts, clothes, jewerly, antiques, and just about anything else you can think of. This year it was incredibly hot, so we were out of there before noon. I'm pretty sure the girls had the best time because they were the only ones who bought anything, thanks to grandad's help.

Day #101 Thursday, September 9, 2010
Everyone knows how it is, school pictures are usually horrible, but I'm very impressed with our pictures this year. Since they aren't very good usually, I don't order a whole lot. I've been getting what they call the fun pack. It consists of door hangers, ruler, bookmarks, & keychain hangers all with their name & picture on the them. I know I am biased but dang my kids are cute lol!
Day #99 Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Ok I know this is an extreme close up but you couldn't see her new colors unless I got this close. She was so excited to get them today. She was bouncing off the walls at the orthodontist office. The lady putting them on asked me if she was always like this and if you know Makaylie very well you know that the answer is no. She's always been very laid back & doesn't get excited about a whole lot. So, you know this was a big deal to her.

Day #97 September 5, 2010
Words can't describe how proud, thankful, and happy for this day. My sweet baby girl got baptized at our church this morning. I know she is only 6, but she started talking about it several months ago and how do you tell someone no when they feel like God is calling them to do that. We haven't pressured either of the girls to take that step of faith, so I really believe she understands what this means, otherwise why would she be interested. I think a parents greatest joy is for their children to become a Christian & all that it entails. I know that for us it makes our hearts full of pride & joy. Thank you Lord for your amazing grace & love!!
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Day #96 September 4, 2010
We have had such a nice family Saturday. All the grandparents came to our house today since Taygan is getting baptized tomorrow. We also got to see Chey's Aunt Glenna & Uncle John. They came to Chickasha for a wedding. They live in very southeast Texas. We haven't seen them in several years, so it was nice to see them & catch up. I intended to bring my camera so we could take a picture with them, but instead I've got this one of the girls & my dad playing basketball in the yard. We are blessed beyond words to have such an amazing family.
Day #94 September 2, 2010
Hmmm I think a storm is brewing. We sure enough had one come through. It really wasn't too bad & didn't last long, but we lost our trampoline in it. It was surreal to see it turned up on its side & roll through the field next to our house. This is the second one we've lost, guess we don't have the greatest luck with them. The girls were pretty upset, they love jumping on that thing.
Isn't that a pretty rainbow after the storm?? God is good!
